Polpette / Italian Meat balls Recipe
Polpette is an Italian meatballs cook with tomato sauce or just fry them, It is serve as Second plate in Italian Menu and with side dish of vegetables.
you'll need.
Ingridients:(make 8 to 10 balls)
*600 G Ground beef
*1 egg/ uovo
*1 slice brown bread or 2 tbsp *breadcrumbs
*1/2 cup of tomato sauce
*1 onions
*1 small carrots
*Salt
*20 G celery
*2 TBSP cooking oil
*Salvia (optional)
*1 tsp. Cornstarch.
Procedure:
1. Clean and mince Carrots, onions and celery by using blender/food processor.(Set aside 2 spoon of minced ingridients for latter use)
2. In the separate bowl, mix ground meat, egg, Salt and the slice of bread. THEN ADD, the minced carrots, onions, Celery, . Combine thoroughly, and start making balls.
3. IN A non stick pot/Pan heat a table spoon of cooking oil. Then add the Meat balls (make sure have space in between) just keep browning both side. THEN add the 2 tbsp. Of minced ingridients you separate before. Cook 2 min. ( Note: At this time, you don't need to stir everything, just add oil if you think it's dry. )
4. Pour the tomato sauce and add 1/4 cup of water. Simmer the meat balls for atleast 20 min over low or medium high fire. Stir occasionally
5. Lastly, Melt Cornstarch in a water 10ml And stir in the last minute. Remove from heat and Serve w/ your desired vegetables.
