Homemade Kwek kwek full recipe


"Kwek kwek" is one of my Favorite  Popular  street food in the Philippines.  IT is boiled Eggs coated  with thick batter of flour and much spices. Ways to cook is good only for deep frying recipe and can be serve as Snack or "Appetizer". You can serve with any Mixed Salad you've prefer, I prefer mine simple as long as i don't missed Vinegar and fresh onions in it. 


Here's what you'll need:

*6 to 10 pcs Boiled Eggs

*1 cup flour

*100 ml water

*Tsp. Instant Yeast or baking powder ( i used yeast)

*Pinch Curcuma, (Yellow ginger) and Salt

*1/2 tsp. Paprika / pepper

*Origano (optional) 


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine first the Flour and Yeast. then all spices follows.. 

2.Gradually add water and mix until the mixture comes out a runny Texture. 

3. Place clean boiled eggs in the batter and coat them. 

4. Pour oil in the  Wok or saucepan, heat at "medium high fire" and cook coated eggs until turns  lightly brown. 

5. Strain to remove excess oil and Prepare salad   for side dish.
